Sine embodies a profound artisanal tradition while boldly looking towards the future. A new brand of BC San Michele, founded in 1982 in Bassano del Grappa, Vicenza, Sine builds on the company’s rich history as a manufacturer of lighting fixtures. Over the years, BC San Michele has honed its craftsmanship expertise, blending traditional techniques with cutting-edge technologies to create a dynamic environment focused on innovation and new challenges.

A series of elements in brass and blown Murano glass compose Code, a light system which is suspended on a pair of cables and exploits the sequence of these elements to obtain compositions with various designs and possibilities. The final look mixes technicality and visual poetry, recalling the elegance of pearl necklaces.

The extremely simple shape and carefully studied proportions, create a family of hybrid objects, capable of interacting with the environment in multiple aspects. The modularity of the system allows IKE to have an extended variability of elements: battery or cable lamps, stands, trays and candlesticks. The aim is to accompany us in the gesture of everyday life, satisfying the needs and giving freedom of interaction. 

Ike is born from a play of suspended planes, a balance between light and surfaces that intertwine in a fluid dialogue. Its essential design is built around a pure geometry, where each element seems to lift lightly from the surface, creating distinct yet connected levels. Light is not just a functional element, but an integral part of the composition: it flows through and between the planes, defining shadows and reflections that enrich the spatial experience. Like backlit buildings during a New York sunset, the Manhattan family manipulates light to give emphasis to the environment. The strong material presence of the elements uses the reflection of beams to compose plays of light that change according to their position. Usable both individually and in groups, Manhattan creates a sculptural effect that makes it pleasant even when not switched on. The LED is set on one facade, remaining discreet and allowing intuitive interaction by the touch ring that frames it.

In Manhattan, light is guided, sculpted. The interaction between the matte surface and grazing light creates soft shadows and subtle gradients, giving rise to an architectural illumination that is never intrusive.
